Landscaping and Deck Designer 7 Program Updates

From time to time Chief Architect, Inc makes available updates to our current shipping products. These updates contain resolutions to common problems and feature enhancements to the software. Below is the latest released update for Landscaping and Deck Designer.

To automatically determine if an update is available you may select Help> Download Program Updates from within the application. You will automatically be taken to an internet page that will tell you which, if any, updates available for your product.

Instructions

  1. It is always a good idea to make a complete backup of your work before making any changes to your computer. If you do not know how to do this please consult a local computer technician to get advise on how to perform a backup.
  2. When prompted, make sure you choose "Save to disk". We recommend saving the file to your Desktop, where it will be easily found.
  3. Important: Once you’ve downloaded the update, make sure you’ve closed Landscaping and Deck Designer. If you update with Landscaping and Deck Designer open you will need to reboot your computer for the update to take effect.
  4. Once you have completed the download and closed Landscaping and Deck Designer double click on the download and follow the installation instructions.
  5. If you get any errors about being out of memory or other types of errors you may not have enough rights on your system to install the update. If this is the case, copy the update to the install directory of Landscaping and Deck Designer and run it from there. Other installation problems are usually related to having the update on a write protected disk such as a CD rom. Copy the file the drive you are installed on and it will run correctly.
