3D Home Design Camera Views

1. Doll House Views
Create any view you’d like to easily visualize your design. Use the Render Doll House tool to see an open floor view of a single floor, or as in this example, use the Render Full Overview tool to see the whole design. Once the view is opened, go to the Display Options dialog and turn off the display of Ceiling Surfaces and Roof Planes. Now you can see the inside of your entire design with the roof and ceilings removed.

2. Using the Library
You’ll find that the Library Browser contains many on the items you need to add those final touches to your designs. Navigate the Library Browser to expose many of the useful items, or use the Search Library tool to quickly locate specific items. The library contains everything from fixtures and furniture to materials and backdrops, simply select the desired item, then click on your design to add it to the location.

3. Symbol Import
Can’t find what you are looking for in the library? Add your own! You have the ability to import 3D objects in .DXF, .OBJ, .3DS, & .SKP format. Just download the object you would like to add, then drag and drop it into your plan. Its automatic.

4. Deck Designer Tools
Automatically generate decks with automatic planking and support framing using the Deck Railing tool and Deck room name. Customize your deck planking layout to create patterns, such as herring bone and border planks. Use the material painter to change the deck from cedar to redwood, composite or stain it to match any wood species you’d like using the Blend Color tool.

5. Room Names
Use Home Designer’s room name specification to pre-define attributes in your design. Make Kitchen and Bathrooms floor tile automatically, or set up your Garage with a slab floor, simply by assigning a room name. Turn on the interior area or room dimensions as part of the label that displays on your plan. Don’t stop there, once your rooms have automatic labels, you can change the text and type in any description you choose. Simply double-click the label, then type your changes.
