Landscaping Design

1. Landscape Beds
Use the pre-arranged Garden Beds from the Architectural Block library to quickly add landscaping to your design. You can even un-block these to move, copy, delete or edit the plants in the beds.

2. Pathways
With a combination of elevation tools and terrain features, it is easy to create custom pathways and sidewalks. Use the break tool to add more curves and corners to the path, then visit the Library Browser to choose from one of the many landscaping materials. Just point-and-click to make your path brick, stone, concrete or gravel.

3. Patio
Create all sorts of patios using Terrain Features or Rooms. In this example we created a room out of railings that are specified to have posts, but no rails. Next, open the room specification to the Structure Tab and turn ON the roof and turn OFF the ceiling. Now all that is left is to paint the floor with a decking material from the Library Browser. Its easy to get just the look you want in minutes!

4. Plants
Use the Plant Chooser to identify and choose from over 3,700 plants. Simply search for attributes, click on a plant, and drop it into the design. Copy, move, or edit the plants to get the colors and design you are looking for.

5. Window Boxes
Finish your design with the details that make it yours. We’ve added window boxes, found in the Planters folder of the Library Browser. Go to the 2nd floor of your design, then click to place the window box. Now take a 3D view to move the boxes into place. You can just click on the window box and drag it up to meet the bottom of the window. To add flowers, use the Plant Chooser to find what you need, then drop the plant onto the planter. Again, from a 3D view you can move the plants so that they are sitting inside the window boxes.
