Removing Roof Gutters in Home Designer Pro

QUESTION

I need to model a roof without gutters, such as a flat roof or thatched roof style. How can I stop roof gutters from generating on my roof planes?

ANSWER

In Home Designer Pro, gutters can be removed by unchecking the Gutter box in either the Build Roof or Roof Plane Specification dialog.

To remove roof gutters

1. Select Build> Roof> Build Roof .
   
   Gutters can also be removed from a specific set of roof planes. Using the Select Objects tool, click on one or more roof planes, then click the Open Object edit button.  
   
   
   
2. On the Options panel of the Build Roof or Roof Plane Specification dialog, uncheck the Gutter box located under the Supply section.
   
   
   
   
   
3. If you made this adjustment in the Build Roof dialog, the roof must be rebuilt. Check the Build Roof Planes or Auto Rebuild Roofs box located on the Roof panel.
   
   This step can be skipped if you removed the gutters using the Roof Plane Specification dialog.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click OK to confirm the change and close the dialog.
