QUESTION
When I go to draw a wall or line in my floor plan view, it looks jagged and crooked. Also, I have noticed that a yellow warning symbol has appeared in the center of my walls. How can I correct this?
ANSWER
If your walls and lines are drawing crooked and have a yellow warning symbol appearing in the middle of them, this usually indicates that Angle Snaps have been turned off, perhaps unintentionally.
To toggle Angle Snaps
- In your plan, select Edit> Snap Settings> Angle Snaps .
When this feature is toggled on, a check mark will display next to it in the menu.
- Once you have turned Angle Snaps back on, you should now be able to draw straight walls and lines, and correct any existing walls or lines that were drawn slightly off-angle.
- To correct existing walls, click on the yellow Warning symbol and select the Fix Off Angle Wall option. In the dialog that appears next, specify a New Angle value.
Alternatively, you can select a wall, click the Open Object edit tool, and on the General panel of the Wall Specification dialog that displays, you can change the Wall Angle to your liking.
- To correct existing CAD lines, select a CAD line, click the Open Object edit tool, and on the Line panel of the Line Specification dialog that displays, change the Angle to your liking.
